Jamie Redknapp on Tottenham Hotspur-owned Dele Alli

Dele Alli joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan from Milton Keynes Dons on transfer deadline day.

Jamie Redknapp has told Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has a great future.

The former Tottenham midfielder made the comments on Monday evening just before the North London outfit confirmed the signing of the youngster from Milton Keynes Dons.

Speaking to Sky Sports’ Deadline Day show, former England international said: “I watched him earlier in the year in the Capital One Cup game against Manchester United, and straightaway I liked him.

“I like his style: he is aggressive, he has got 12 goals from midfield, and if I were a top-six team in the Premier League, I would certainly sign him. He is certainly one for the future. I really like the way he plays.”

Tottenham eventually signed the 18-year-old from MK Dons and loaned him back to the League One outfit for the rest of the season.

Alli is indeed a brilliant young footballer who has scored 12 goals in 27 League One appearances so far this season.
