10 million of those units shipped were for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, and the Heists mode is still scheduled for early 2015.
Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar Games' latest outing in the GTA universe, has reportedly shipped in excess of 45 million copies worldwide. The news comes from the latest earnings report ending 31st December 2014, from publisher Take-Two Interactive.
GTA V still isn't out on PC yet, so those sales figures are sure to climb even further once 24th March comes around.
The earnings report also reiterated that the free GTA Online Heists mode update is still coming in 'early 2015'.
GTA V was initially released on PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles back in September 2013, and the game had reportedly sold around 34 million units at the time of Take-Two's Q2 earnings report published in October.
Other successful games included NBA 2K15, with 5.5 million units shipped, and Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth with 29 million units shipped.
