Neil Lennon’s Bolton have a real opportunity to cause an FA Cup upset this evening as they host Liverpool in a replay.
Lennon has done some good work with the Championship side since he took over and he’ll be determined for his team to make the most of their home advantage after a positive performance in the first game at Anfield.
Bolton need to start fast and try to stop any of Liverpool’s key players from getting on the ball and dictating the pace of the game. If they can do that consistently, they should back themselves to get a goal at the other end.
Liverpool will be favourites because of the quality in their squad and the fact they go into this game after a positive win against West Ham United in the Premier League.
The FA Cup represents a real opportunity for Liverpool to win some silverware this season, which suggests that Rodgers won’t be taking this game lightly and will expect the best from the eleven players he’s selected to represent the club.
