Stuart Armstrong has identified two things about Celtic he feels can benefit him.
New Celtic signing Stuart Armstrong has told the club’s website he feels there are two things which could benefit him at the club.
The 22-year-old was a deadline day capture for the Bhoys and he’s looking to develop his game and have a big impact for the team over the rest of the season.
“I’ve spoken to Ronny Deila briefly on Monday and he’s very excited as well, which is really positive and there’s a great group of staff here that I think could really benefit me,” said Armstrong.
Deila’s exciting attitude is significant because it shows to the player that the boss really cares about how he develops and gets settled in quickly at the club.
It would have been difficult for Armstrong to hit the ground running had Deila shown a lack of enthusiasm towards his arrival.
The staff support is also significant because it takes some of the pressure away from the manager to coach Armstrong by himself.
It also provides the player with the benefit of a fresh pair of eyes in terms of various aspects of his technique and anything he may be struggling with as he embarks upon life at the club.
There may also be things that Deila’s staff spot in relation to Armstrong’s game which the Norwegian doesn’t pick up on.
All in all, he seems like a very determined young man ready to make the most of the club’s strong staff base. Fingers crossed he can make the difference in big games over the rest of the campaign.
