Former Chelsea assistant boss Ray Wilkins told the Alan Brazil Spots Breakfast Show for talkSPORT he fancies Tottenham Hotspur to get a result in the North London derby this weekend.
Tottenham host the Gunners at White Hart Lane on Saturday looking to go one better than the 1-1 draw they managed between the sides when they met at the Emirates earlier this season.
“I fancy Tottenham – Harry Kane is in great form and I fancy Tottenham to get a result,” said Wilkins.
Tottenham’s big incentive to get a win is that they are just two points behind Arsenal as things stand and therefore, a victory would see them leapfrog Arsene Wenger’s team.
Whether they can deal with the quality in Arsenal’s midfield remains to be seen, but Tottenham have the home advantage and will be looking to use that to their advantage.
Kane should be buzzing heading into the game having just signed a new long term contract and fresh off of a brace in the game against West Brom last weekend.
It will be interesting to see how Mauricio Pochettino sets his team up but he’ll stress the need for consistency over the rest of the season for his side to get a top four spot.
