Queens Park Rangers supporters are feeling let down after Harry Redknapp tendered his resignation earlier today.
Redknapp stepped down as manager of the R's with immediate effect this afternoon, with the BBC reporting that he cited knee surgery as the reason behind his departure.
It is a decision which has angered the majority of QPR supporters on social media site Twitter, with many wishing he had gone earlier so the new manager could have made changes to their squad.
Redknapp stuck around for the entirety of the January transfer window before departing and it means that whoever takes over will have no opportunity to bring in the players they feel are needed to enhance the squad.
At the moment Tim Sherwood is the favourite for the role, but the former Tottenham Hotspur boss has been selective previously over his job choices and there is no guarantee that he will feel a move to Loftus Road is right for him.
It leaves the R's future looking uncertain at a crucial stage of the season and the club will need to ensure that the next appointment is correct if they are to avoid the drop.
Redknapp's own popularity at Loftus Road had been dwindling this campaign, with many supporters calling for his head, but the way he has gone does not suit anyone and most of the club's fans have been left disappointed with the news.
Here is the best reaction from QPR fans on Twitter:
Sad to hear that Harry Redknapp has resigned as Qpr manager hope his knee surgery goes well @QPRFC— mollie (@Irulefootball) February 3, 2015
So Harry Redknapp knows QPR are going down, so runs away to try and stop people blaming him, what a cowardly manager he is #QPRFC— jordan holmes (@jordan_wubba) February 3, 2015
It was always only a matter of time until Redknapp left @QPRFC but why the hell did he leave straight after the transfer window....??— DatGuyRoss (@RossBain3) February 3, 2015
