Dundee United moved quickly to snap up another excellent prospect, after losing two key players to Celtic.
Kilmarnock announced the sale of attacker Robbie Muirhead via their official website, after midnight, giving those over at Tannadice a pick-me-up after a disappointing day.
Despite sitting just six points behind Celtic in the SPL table, United caved into the league leaders offers and sold Gary Mackay-Steven ahead of his pre-contract deal, and winger Scott Armstrong.
Muirhead, 18, is a Scotland youth international with three goals in five games for the under-19s.
He also has made 20 appearances in the top flight this season, and it was reported with hours to go before the transfer deadline by STV that Celtic were taking an interest in buying him.
He could have been a back-up had a move for the Dundee United pair not gone through, but their loss is certainly the gain of his new side.
Murihead's addition won't make up for the departure of the duo, but it may be nice for fans of United to consider that they may have got one up on the Parkhead side.
