Manchester City morning round-up: Nasri back training, Lampard could stay

A round up of news stories this morning related to Manchester City.

The Daily Mail provided a boost for Manchester City fans yesterday with the news that Samir Nasri is back in training.

The talented French midfielder has been out of action, as he’s been struggling with a groin problem.

The Mail reported how he’d returned to training and included several pictures, as he prepared for City’s next game alongside his teammates, appearing to be in good spirits.

Setanta has reported that Frank Lampard could remain at Manchester City beyond this season.

The experienced midfielder is currently on loan at the club from MLS side New York City.

He’s already seen his loan agreement extended once after he stayed at the club past January 1.

Micah Richards wasn’t able to pull off a move to Inter Milan according to the Daily Mail.

The versatile defender, on loan at Fiorentina, was suggested as a target for former boss Roberto Mancini.

However, the deal to his current side’s Serie A rivals never materialised on transfer deadline day, collapsing in the evening.
