Ian Wright has told The Sun that Arsenal will finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.
The Gunners are currently fifth in the league table with 42 points from 23 matches, level on points with fourth-placed Southampton and just a point behind Manchester United, who are third.
Former Arsenal striker Wright has also backed Manchester United and Manchester City to finish in the top four, while predicting Chelsea to win the title.
“Top four I'll go for Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Man United - Chelsea to win it,” the 51-year-old told The Sun.
While Wright seems confident of Arsenal and United’s chances of a top-four finish, one cannot write off the chances of the other clubs who are in the race.
Southampton may not have the glamour of Arsenal or United, but they are certainly genuine contenders for a top-four finish.
Ronald Koeman’s side have bounced back from their struggles against the bigger teams a few weeks ago, and do look like they could go all the way.
Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are also very much in contention, the former particularly looking good.
Arsenal’s North London rivals have made a strong start to the New Year and are looking very confident under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
West Ham United are also in the race, but they are starting to lose momentum and are currently six points behind Southampton in eighth.
