Dennaton and Devolver Digital's sequel to 2012's top-down action game is coming in March, if this phone message is anything to believe.
A tweet from the Hotline Miami Twitter account yesterday quoted nothing but a phone number, prompting people to call it.
+1 (786) 519-3708 ext 10— Hotline Miami (@HotlineMiami) February 2, 2015
The number,+1 (786) 519-3708 ext 10, when called would play a message that is pretty much indefinable, apart from the repetition of the word 'March'. The message ends with "you have reached a wrong number".
Reddit users speculate that the 'ext 10' on the phone number signals that the game is set for a 10th March release, which we would be inclined to agree with.
You can hear the phone message in the video below.
Last month Hotline Miami 2 was effectively banned from sale in Australia, due to the game being denied a rating by the Australian Classification Board. The developers respond by telling people to "just pirate it after release."
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is due to be available on PS3, PS4, PS Vita, PC, Mac, and Linux.
