Dele Alli highlights the area where he has improved since last season

Dele Alli joined Tottenham Hotspur from MK Dons on transfer deadline day.

Newly signed Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has told the club’s official website that he plans to score more goals.

The youngster moved to Spurs on a five-and-a-half-year deal from Milton Keynes Dons on transfer deadline day.

Alli will remain on loan at MK Dons for the rest of the season and will then return to Tottenham.

The 18-year-old has scored 12 goals in 27 appearances in League One so far this season and is one of the best young players in the lower division in England.

The England Under-19 international, though, wants to continue to develop his game and score more goals.

“Last season I scored seven goals and this season it’s something I’ve looked to bring into my game, to get more goals from central midfield, to get forward more and get more assists as well,” Alli told Tottenham’s official website.

Alli seems to be a mature young man who is always looking to improve himself, and this will certainly go down well with Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The youngster plays in central midfield and has a role similar to that of Tottenham late bloomer Ryan Mason. Tall and quick, Alli is technically very good and is not scared of the physical side of the game.

Needless to say, there is still room for improvement for the teenager. What will be interesting to see is how he steps up from League One to the Premier League next season.
