Arsenal trio and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane recognised for weekend heroics

Ozil Arsenal 4

Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Stoke City, Liverpool, Manchester United and Leicester City stars feature in the EA Sports PPI Team of the Week.

No fewer than three Arsenal players have been included in the EA Sports PPI Team of the Week.

Hector Bellerin, Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil have all been recognised for their role in the Gunners’ comprehensive 5-0 victory over Aston Villa at home in the Premier League on Sunday.

While young defender Bellerin played a crucial role at the back and scored for Arsenal, both Cazorla and Ozil were on target at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal’s North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur also won at the weekend, getting the better of West Bromwich Albion 3-0 away from home on Saturday.

England Under-21 international striker Harry Kane scored twice at The Hawthorns to take his tally for the season to 20 goals in all competitions.

The youngster has been included in the team, but his Spurs teammate Christian Eriksen has not, which may come as a surprise to some.

The Denmark international playmaker took two shots and created as many chances, scored a great free-kick goal, had a pass accuracy of 89%, attempted six dribbles and made two blocks.

Newcastle United duo Tim Krul and Massadio Haidara, Sunderland defender Patrick van Aanholt, Stoke City forward Jonathan Walters, Manchester United midfielder Daley Blind, Liverpool attacker Philippe Coutinho, and Leicester City defender Marcin Wasilewski complete the team.

Here is the EA Sports PPI Team of the Week:
