Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O'Hara scored for Blackpool at the weekend, for the first time in three-and-a-half years after an unsuccessful spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The midfielder curled home a superb free-kick to hand the Championship strugglers a 1-0 win against Brighton and Hove Albion.

O'Hara was one of many additions to Blackpool on a free transfer earlier this year, after Wolves cancelled his contract.

Wolves had signed him in 2011 for £5 million from Tottenham, and it was in a November 2011 win over Wigan that O'Hara scored his last professional goal.

He was unable to prevent their relegation from the Premier League and subsequently the Championship, and was ostracised at the club during their League One promotion campaign.

The goal was O'Hara's first in 12 appearances for Blackpool, although they still remain bottom of the division on 20 points, two below Wigan.

The 28-year-old played just 43 minutes of League One football in 2013/14.
