Steve Bruce has told the Hull Daily Mail what he’s looking for in any signings before the transfer deadline this evening.
Hull are being tipped to make one or two signings today and Bruce has been clear in where he feels the Tigers need to add players.
“I think it's blatantly obvious (the need for attacking players) when you look at ourselves, apart from the last two games, defensively we're usually okay,” said Bruce.
“I think that's 12 times out of the last 16 we've not scored. We've made enough chances but we haven't scored.”
One of the names the Hull Daily Mail mentions as a target is Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon.
Lennon would inject plenty of pace and attacking drive into the team, but Bruce seems to reckon he needs a player more accustomed to scoring goals on a consistent basis.
Hull also need a little bit of luck and some chances to fall favourably for the side as they fight to pull away from the relegation places in the Premier League.
Fresh faces will make the side a little more unpredictable in the respect that Hull’s attack will be fresh.
Whether Lennon arrives and plays in a wide role or whether Hull add another centre forward to their squad, they will have an extra dimension, which will make them harder to plan for in terms of their opposition.
Hull have scored 20 goals in the Premier League this season, the same as West Brom and only Aston Villa have scored less.
