The Daily Mail has reported that Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon has been told to leave the club.
Lennon is being tipped to make a move to Hull City and the Mail claims Mauricio Pochettino no longer ‘fancies’ having him as part of his squad.
Lennon has struggled for game time under Pochettino this season, making just three starts in the Premier League.
The Mail’s report also states there is a general feeling that the club no longer need Lennon, despite the obvious pace and threat he poses down the side’s right-hand side.
Tottenham still have options on the right with plenty of width created by someone like Kyle Walker getting forward, while Erik Lamela has also proved that he can play off to the right of the attack.
Andros Townsend is also an option over on that side, cutting inside onto his dangerous left foot.
The paper expects movement from clubs interested in rivalling Hull’s interest for Lennon over the next few hours and it will be interesting to see if a deal is done or whether Lennon remains at White Hart Lane for the rest of the season.
