According to Sky Sports News television, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Etienne Capoue could leave the club before the transfer window closes.
The Frenchman began the season as a first-choice for Mauricio Pochettino but he has hardly featured in recent times, playing just 21 minutes of the club’s last 12 Premier League games.
The latest report suggests the 26-year-old could move on in the next eight hours or so, claims which follow on from a weekend story from the Daily Mail linking both Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion with the defensive midfielder.
Capoue can also operate as a central midfielder or a centre-back, and that versatility could be one of the reasons he has suitors this late in the day.
Sky Sports News television has also claimed that Aaron Lennon, Emmanuel Adebayor and one of Vlad Chiriches or Younes Kaboul could be leaving and if Capoue does the same, Pochettino’s squad could be trimmed quite a lot with important fixtures coming thick and fast.
