Report: Tottenham's Younes Kaboul agrees to West Ham move

Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul all set to join West Ham United.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul has agreed to move to West Ham United, according to the Guardian.

The Hammers have been trying to acquire a centre-back for the entire winter transfer window and appear to have finally landed their man.

Kaboul is set to join West Ham on loan until the end of the campaign and the deal could be made permanent should he impress during his time at the Boleyn Ground.

Tottenham are understood to be keen to cash-in on the French defender and they will certainly be hoping that he goes on to impress with the Hammers, so interest in his services picks up.

The Frenchman appeared to have a bright future under Mauricio Pochettino at the start of the season, after he was named as captain, but a series of below-par performances have forced him out of the club.

Kaboul will now be looking to get back to his best and West Ham will hope that a change of environment is all that he needs.

The experienced defender is likely to be brought in as cover until the end of the campaign, but he will feel he has a good chance of breaking into the team should he get back to his optimum levels.
