Former Tottenham Hotspur prospect Massimo Luongo has received an offer from a club in Qatar, according to Link Sport.
Luongo, who is currently playing for Swindon Town, was in impressive form for Australia at the recently concluded AFC Asian Cup, and it seems that his performances have attracted interest from afar.
According to Link Sport, Swindon have received “an informal approach” from an agent who is representing a Qatar club.
It has also been reported by the news outlet the 22-year-old midfielder will remain with Swindon, who themselves are not willing to let go of their prized asset.
Luongo being mentioned in the media on transfer deadline day shows just how far the youngster has come since his departure from Tottenham in the summer of 2013.
The Australian failed to break into the first team at Spurs and also did not make too much impact during his loan spell at Ipswich Town.
However, it seems that the youngster is coming into his own now and starting to show the kind of form that convinced Tottenham to bring him into their system in 2011.
