Lewis McGugan has rejoined Sheffield Wednesday from Watford.

Sheffield Wednesday have clinched a deal to re-sign Lewis McGugan on loan until the end of the season.

McGugan had fallen out of favour at Watford and was allowed to join the Owls at the end of last year, with his deal having since expired.

Now on a busy transfer deadline day for Sheffield Wednesday, the club have announced they are bringing him back, releasing a photo via their official Twitter account, above, of him signing on the dotted line.

The attacking midfielder last played for the club in late December, a 1-0 win over Wigan prior to his loan deal expiring. He had been a regular for the side, helping them climb into the Championship's top 10 places, and re-signing him is an excellent piece of business.

Already today, Wednesday had announced via their website the signing of Romanian striker Sergiu Bus from CSKA Sofia and Manchester United reserve full-back Marnick Vermijl.

The 26-year-old will be expected to feature at home to Cardiff City in the Championship this coming weekend.
