The England under-21 midfielder has struggled for first-team football at Hull since arriving on a free transfer from Blackpool in the summer.
Interestingly enough Ince also spent time on loan at Derby's most fierce rivals Nottingham Forest this season. Ince played six games in a loan spell at the City Ground, but he will now join up with another former England international manager Steve McLaren at the iPro Stadium.
His spell at Forest was far from overly impressive so Derby fans will be hoping he can be more impressive during his spell with the promotion chasers in the Championship.
Ince has now posed for the usual pictures with the club and Derby County have also confirmed his squad number on Twitter. Ince will wear the number 23 shirt at the club, which was previously worn by young left-back Michael Hoganson, who was released in the summer.
Ince looked very happy with the move and will be hoping to help The Rams back to the Premier League for next season.
