Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has expressed his joy on Twitter after returning to training today.
Schneiderlin has been out for just under a month after picking up an adductor injury, but his comeback is edging ever closer and he was delighted to be back in action on Monday.
Very happy to be back training ! Thanks to all who did help me and made me work hard to come back stronger! pic.twitter.com/MxhVI2Rd8J— Morgan Schneiderlin (@SchneiderlinMo4) February 2, 2015
The Frenchman's return to fitness will be welcomed by everyone at the club, due to his importance to the side.
Schneiderlin is arguably Southampton's most important player and they have missed him during his time on the sidelines.
Although the Saints' results have been relatively impressive throughout January, Schneiderlin was missed this weekend in a 1-0 defeat to Swansea City and they look a much stronger side with him in it.
Schneiderlin's ability in possession means that they are able to dictate the pace of the game and his defensive qualities also help provide protection for the back four.
Southampton will now be hoping to keep him off the treatment table for the remainder of the campaign as they challenge for the top-four spots.
