Leicester City fans react on Twitter to Robert Huth loan deal

Robert Huth

Leicester City fans have given their thoughts on Robert Huth's move to the club on loan from Stoke.

Leicester City confirmed via the club’s website earlier today that central defender Robert Huth has signed for the club on a loan deal from Stoke City until the end of the season.

He will provide some much needed Premier League experience in the Leicester back four, as well as providing presence and giving the Foxes more power in terms of his size and his ability in the air.

He’s also experienced being a captain at points in his career, which means he’ll provide some leadership in defence and will be able to demand the best from his teammates in difficult situations in big games.

He’s a figure that others can look towards and someone who can set the tone in matches where Leicester head in as underdogs, given slim chances of getting results.

Pearson has to judge whether to throw him into the starting line-up after his first two weeks of training (banned for this weekend) at his new club or whether the better approach is to nurse him into the side gradually over the course of a few weeks.

The risk of starting him in the next game is that he wouldn’t have had a great amount of turnaround terms of getting use to his new teammates and their style in Leicester’s current defensive system.

Leicester are currently bottom of the Premier League and Nigel Pearson needs an upturn in results quickly, as he looks for the side to get out of trouble and to start climbing the table away from danger.

Here’s what Leicester fans on Twitter had to say about the deal.
