Zaha tweets his happiness at permanent move away from United

Wilfried Zaha playing for Crystal Palace

Wilfried Zaha has completed a permanent move back to Crystal Palace following a disappointing 18 months at Manchester United.

Wilfried Zaha has joined Crystal Palace on a permanent deal signing a five-and-a-half-year deal with the club. The fee for the transfer is thought to be in the region of £6 million, however The Guardian have reported that it could be as little as £3 million.

Either way it represents an incredibly poor piece of business for Manchester United who paid £10 million to prise him away from Selhurst Park initially. He was never given a chance at Old Trafford, and it seems Sir Alex Ferguson's last gift for the club was one they wished to return.

Zaha has returned home and he will now hope to put the Manchester United nightmare behind him. He made four appearances for the club with just two of them coming in the Premier League. It all seems so very far away from when he made his debut for England in November 2012.

Palace have had a revival under Alan Pardew and Zaha will be hoping he can get his career back on track after showing so much promise at an early age.
