Will Arsenal make a third signing this transfer window, following Krystian Bielik and Gabriel Paulista?
It's Deadline Day. And that means that transfer rumours go into overdrive as football fans around the country stay glued to the internet and keep an eye on Sky Sports News for updates on possible new signings. But what is likely to happen for Arsenal?
With Wenger telling Arsenal.com yesterday that late activity was unlikely, but if the right offer came up he could sign a 3rd player - the media has been surprisingly quiet about who that player could be. Was he even speaking about a specific individual?
Or simply covering himself should a player of quality be made available on the final day of the window?
The likelihood is the latter, but with rumours via The Star continuing to gather pace this weekend suggesting that Arsenal are in pole position to sign Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus, the chances are that he could well be someone to keep an eye on over the next few months.
With Dortmund struggling in the Bundesliga it's unlikely that they will be letting any of their players leave before the summer (Hummels included). But Arsenal won't be the only club chasing his signature.
Meanwhile, the other big talk from the weekend is the news that Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin has agreed to join Arsenal at the end of the season. The news came from French newspaper L'Equipe before being picked up by the Daily Star (who all of the British reports link back to). It's very unlikely that anything will happen for this deal to be brought forward but stranger things have happened. It does seem though that Wenger is already starting to look ahead to the summer.
Although it looks unlikely at the moment - Arsenal do have a habit of getting deals done late....Who could the third signing be?
