Derby County have emerged as the front-runners to take Manchester United youngster Jesse Lingard on loan, per the Daily Mirror.

Also from the Mirror: Burnley have made a late bid to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Henry Lansbury.

The BBC have reported that Rickie Lambert has decided to stay at Liverpool over making a £5 million switch to Aston Villa.

Etienne Capoue's proposed loan move from Tottenham Hotspur to West Bromwich Albion is off, according to Sky Sports.

However, the Guardian have claimed that Norwich City left-back Martin Olsson has arrived at the Hawthorns for a medical, joining West Ham United's Carlton Cole at the ground.

The Baggies are also closing in on a move for Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher, per the Telegraph, with the Scotland international entering talks with the West Midlands outfit.

According to Sky Sports, West Ham will look to recall Mauro Zarate from his QPR loan if Carlton Cole's proposed West Brom switch goes through.

The same report adds that the transfer merry-go-round would then see Hammers winger Matt Jarvis head in the opposite direction to Loftus Road.

In addition, the BBC have claimed that West Ham and QPR are still battling to sign Emmanuel Adebayor from Spurs on loan.

France Football have reported that Roma are making a last-ditch attempt to sign Tottenham's Younes Kaboul.

Sky Sports report that Southampton are working to sign Chelsea loanee Ryan Bertrand on a permanent deal.

Chelsea have announced that Mohamed Salah has moved to Fiorentina on loan following the arrival of Juan Cuadrado.

Crystal Palace have signed promising Bristol Rovers midfielder Keshi Anderson on deal until 2016.

Palace's Barry Bannan has also confirmed on Twitter that he's off to Bolton Wanderers.

Derby County have brought in Hull City winger Tom Ince on loan.

Norwich forward Kyle Lafferty has joined Turkish club Caykur Rizespor on loan until end of the season.

Tottenham have announced the release of Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

Stoke centre-back Robert Huth has joined Leicester City on loan for the rest of the season.
