Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has told The Independent that he is “looking forward” to next weekend’s clash against Arsenal.
The two North London rivals will take on each other at White Hart Lane in the Premier League, with the encounter promising to be hugely competitive and entertaining.
England Under-21 international Kane has been in impressive form so far this season, having scored 20 goals in all competitions.
The youngster was on target twice against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns in the Premier League on Saturday.
Kane is brimming with confidence and is eyeing a win against Spurs’ fierce rivals Arsenal in the North London derby on Saturday.
"The big one at White Hart Lane next Saturday - everyone is looking forward to it,” the 21-year-old told The Independent. “It’s probably the biggest game of the season for us. We're really looking forward to it and hopefully we can get a win.”
Both Tottenham and Arsenal will head into the derby high in confidence, but perhaps Mauricio Pochettino’s side will have the edge as they are at home.
The Tottenham fans have regained their faith in the team and will be cheering on the players against a strong Arsenal side.
It will be interesting to see how Pochettino’s gameplan will be at the start of the encounter. Against West Brom, Spurs came out of the blocks rightaway, but Arsenal are a different proposition altogether.
One suspects that the first goal will be crucial. Although Tottenham have shown time and time again this season that they can stage a comeback, if Arsenal score first, then it will be tough for Spurs.
