The Baggies forward responded to supporter discontent after his side's 3-0 loss to Tottenham.
The 21-year-old was visibly irked during West Brom’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur yesterday, with a dim atmosphere at the Hawthorns only made worse by a flat performance from Tony Pulis’s men.
This was the Baggies worst result – and display – by far since the Welshman took over and a Christian Eriksen free-kick, along with a double from Harry Kane, gave Tottenham all three points against a battered and bruised West Brom side.
But Berahino has sent a defiant message to supporters in the wake of the Spurs defeat.
“Really hurts to see how some fan think I don’t care about our results, it a shame the way our run was ended today but it’s a team game and will come back stronger believe that!! #baggies,” Berahino wrote on Instagram.
West Brom fans were understandably displeased with their team’s display against Tottenham, with many showing their frustration towards the players at the Hawthorns.
The loss leaves the Baggies just three points off the relegation zone and five points off bottom.
A win in their next game, however, could leave West Brom 13th in the Premier League table (they are currently 15th). It is all to play for, then, and, all being well for Pulis, this should only be a minor setback.
