The Tottenham striker has surpassed all expectations, according to his team-mate.
The 23-year-old says he told Kane he would score 20 goals this term during pre-season, with the striker duly delivering – reaching the milestone yesterday afternoon at West Brom.
But, in being proven right, the Tottenham midfielder admits Kane has shocked him with just how quickly it has taken him to net 20 times this campaign.
Reflecting on yesterday’s game in general – Tottenham won 3-0 at West Brom – Mason said two factors helped the north London side hit form at the Hawthorns.
At first, the high of reaching the Capital One Cup final earlier this week propelled Spurs to a quickfire start against Tony Pulis’s side.
Secondly, Mason feels Tottenham’s professional attitude was what ultimately sealed the deal versus the Baggies. All too often this campaign, Spurs have let slip from winning positions.
