Edgar Cani is ready to fly to Leeds, according to reports in Italy.
Negotiations are continuing between Leeds United and Catania for striker Edgar Cani, report Tuttomercatoweb.
The Italian website state the the Albanian forward is close to sealing a deal, and is to 'fly to England', as the transfer deadline nears.
This naturally makes all the technicalities at Leeds' end easier to push through, including getting the striker to undertake a medical.
A line in the report claims Cani could cost €600,000, yet due to Leeds United's ongoing transfer embargo, this is likely to be a figure which would or could come into effect at the end of this current season, with only loan deals permitted at present.
Cani, 25, is a target man who is similar to Steve Morison in style, who has recently emerged as a real favourite for Leeds head coach Neil Redfearn's system.
He will face a real test to prove himself however, as his previous scoring record will not be one to excite fans - he has reached double figures just once in his career to date.
