The French veteran is currently training with Arsenal.
Arsenal take on Aston Villa at The Emirates Stadium this afternoon but it is a game that comes too soon for Jack Wilshere. The England international underwent surgery on a ankle problem last month and has just recently been joining in some light training at London Colney.
He has been doing the light stuff with fellow crock Danny Welbeck and new signing Krystian Bielik, who is short of fitness after the Polish winter break.
There has also been another interesting member of his little gang - Arsenal legend Robert Pires.
The Frenchman is training with the club after a stint in the Indian Super League with FC Goa came to an end in November. The 41-year-old is clearly trying to keep himself fit and considering his good relationship with Arsene Wenger, he has been welcomed back into the set-up with open arms.
Especially by Wilshere.
The midfielder posted this on his Instagram account yesterday, clearly pleased with getting to train alongside the veteran midfielder.
While a return to action seems very, very, unlikely for Pires. But his experience is invaluable to the young players he is training with and Wilshere must be wise to listen to any pearls of wisdom passed down by this Arsenal 'Invincible.'
