Billy Sharp was the star of the show for Leeds United on Saturday as he scored a late winner against Huddersfield Town away from home in the Championship.
The 28-year-old striker came on as a substitute in the 87th minute and scored the second goal for Leeds in the 90th minute.
It proved to be the final goal of the match, as Leeds registered a crucial 2-1 victory over Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Sharp joined the Whites from Southampton in the summer of 2014, but he has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular.
In 19 Championship appearances so far this season, the former Sheffield United star has scored three goals and created nine chances, while having a pass accuracy of 69% and a shot accuracy of 35%.
On Saturday, though, Sharp proved how valuable he is to Neil Redfearn’s team, and the fans clearly appreciated his winning goal.
After the match, Leeds supporters took to social networking site Twitter to have their say on Sharp’s late winner. Below are the best reactions.
