Cabella, Ameobi and more: Newcastle players react on Twitter to 3-0 win

St James Park Four

Newcastle United defeated Hull City 3-0 on Saturday and some of their stars took to social media shortly afterwards.

Newcastle United earned a valuable and impressive win this weekend as they defeated Hull City 3-0 at the KC Stadium.

Remy Cabella opened the scoring – and his account for the Magpies – with a fine long-range effort before Sammy Ameobi took a leaf out of the Frenchman’s book to smash home a wonderful effort of his own.

Yoan Gouffran put the icing on the cake with a third with just 12 minutes of normal-time to play, giving new head coach John Carver the perfect start to life following his official appointment.

The result saw Newcastle move closer to a place in the top 10, with only goal-difference keeping them behind Swansea City.

After the match, Cabella, Ameobi and goalkeeper Tim Krul all took to Twitter to express their delight at a job very well done.

Summer signing Cabella, who was outstanding on the day, posted a picture of himself with his man-of-the-match trophy while Ameobi said he was delighted to find the net and Krul was looking forward to a very nice bus journey home.
