Spurs morning update: Early team news; youngster hailed as ‘outstanding’

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur take on West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns this afternoon as clubs return to Premier League action following a week of cup clashes.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are currently sixth in the table while Tony Pulis’s West Brom are 14th but heading in the right direction.

In early team news, the BBC reports that Tottenham has almost a full squad to choose from with Nacer Chadli back following personal leave.

The only player unavailable is Nabil Bentaleb who remains on Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria with his country taking on Ivory Coast this weekend.

In other news, Baggies boss Pulis had praised Tottenham forward Harry Kane.

The England under-21 international is enjoying a fantastic campaign and in comments published by ESPN, Pulis said, “Kane has been outstanding.

“His attitude is so refreshing and he has proven beyond doubt he has the talent to play in the Premier League.”

The youngster has already scored 18 goals this season and there is no telling how many he could have by the end of a season that still promises much both for him and for his team.
