Billy Sharp scored a vital goal for Leeds United this weekend, and duly celebrated with the fans.
Leeds United had striker Billy Sharp to thank following his last-gasp goal for Neil Redfearn’s side on Saturday.
The Whites made it four games unbeaten as they won their second successive match, this time against local rivals Huddersfield.
The 28-year-old may have only scored two goals prior to this weekend but he proved vital as he connected with Mirco Antenucci’s cross to secure a vital three points.
After the match, Sharp was photographed celebrating with the Leeds supporters in a picture posted by the Twitter account @LeedsUtdPics and it was clear to see the elation from all concerned.
The forward may continue to be used sparingly but he is an effective option who could prove to be crucial in the rest of Leeds’ campaign.
After all, he has ensured them another important two points and after also scoring a vital goal against Nottingham Forest recently it appears he is rediscovering his form at just the right time.
