Ex-Chelsea man Kevin De Bruyne scores twice against Bayern Munich

The Belgium international played his part in Wolfsburg defeating the German champions 4-1 last night.

Kevin De Bruyne scored twice in Wolfsburg’s shock 4-1 win over German champions Bayern Munich last night, with the former Chelsea man starring for the Volkswagen Arena outfit.

The Belgium international’s goals scored two second-half goals to seal victory, with the strikes coming in the 53rd and 73rd minutes as can be seen below.

De Bruyne was never given a chance to show what he was capable of at Stamford Bridge, with the 24-year-old farmed out to Werder Bremen on loan.

He only made two Premier League starts for Jose Mourinho’s men before being sold but has prospered at Wolfsburg.

This term De Bruyne has been a key member of Dietar Hecking’s side that is in second place on the Bundesliga table, scoring five goals and creating a league-high 11 assists.

With the Belgian also starring at the World Cup in the summer, some Chelsea fans will be wondering why the Blues parted company with the attacking midfielder.
