The Belgium international netted twice in Wolfsburg's 4-1 hammering of the German champions last night.
Kevin De Bruyne played a significant role in Woflsburg’s shock 4-1 victory over Bayern Munich last night, scoring two goals in the rout at the Volkswagen Arena.
The win sees Dieter Hecking’s side close the gap on the league leaders to eight points, with Wolfsburg playing some excellent football in 2014-15.
De Bruyne has been the side’s undoubted star, scoring five goals and creating a league-high eleven assists this season in the Bundesliga.
With Chelsea set to sign Juan Cuadrado in the next 24 hours and allowed Andre Schurrle to leave the club, ironically to join De Bruyne at Wolfsburg, the Stamford Bridge faithful have taken to Twitter to react to the Belgian’s performance last night.
Although the Blues sit on top of the Premier League table, the consensus is that De Bruyne should have been given more of a chance in West London - he only made two Premier League starts during his time with the club.
The best of the Chelsea fans’ tweets can be seen below.

Why #CFC let #DeBruyne leave is beyond me. He is so suited to #Mourinho's style. Showing again tonight his quality. #Bundesliga #WOBFCB

It genuinely annoys me that good footballers still join Chelsea to sit on their bench & stagnate their careers. #Schurrle #Marin #DeBruyne

In a single game #Debruyne has more league goals than #Willian in 16 starts and 5 sups. #Mourinhologic #CFC
