Welcome to HITC’s weekly slot where we share the games we’re currently playing
This weekend I will be away on family duties so won't be getting a lot of opportunity for gaming. With this in mind I have downloaded the latest Free-To-Play mobile game from WWE, Warner Bros Interactive and NetheRealm, WWE Immortals.
Immortals is a Mortal Kombat style beat-em-up that places the WWE Superstars into an alternate universe, where they have gained even greater strength, magical powers and have transformed into their in ring personas.
We reported on the game a few times before it's release and would be safe to say that we were pretty excited by the prospect of playing it. Now the game has been out for a few weeks and we can officially say that it has lived up to the hype. The gameplay is simple but addictive, relying on screen taps and swipes as opposed to button combos. As you batter your opponent you fill up energy bars which allow you to perform your special moves.
At the moment I have only unlocked a few characters, those being Roman Reigns, Sheamus, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella and Paige. One thing I am liking about the game so far is the player combos, each character has traits which can enhance other characters, so it's interesting to see which fighters work best together.
I won't go too much further into this as I'm working on a review of the game so don't want to give it all away but let's just say I've reached a point that I've become stuck, let's see if I can move on without having to make any microtransactions.
I'll leave you with the official trailer for the game, if it interests you then download it, it's free after all.
WWE Immortals is free to download right now on iOS and Android.
