Cuadrado medical set

Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado's transfer to Chelsea is almost complete. GianlucadiMarzio.com report the Colombian is set to undergo a medical at the club on Saturday. This means it is likely to be too tight to register him in time for the deadline for him to play against Manchester City on Sunday, but everything is in place for the transfer to go through.

The Mirror report that Jose Mourinho intervened personally to push the deal through, and the Blues could announce the deal this Friday. Andre Schurrle is set to leave the club, with ESPN reporting a switch to Wolfsburg is imminent.

Liverpool to challenge Spurs for Ings

Liverpool are aiming to sign Burnley striker Danny Ings, yet The Guardian report they will make an offer to sign him and loan him back to the Premier League strugglers. The deal would replicate the agreement they have in place with Lille for Divock Origi, who will join up in the summer.

Ings' contract expires at the end of the season, and therefore a deal like this could be appealing to Burnley, and could give the Reds the edge over Tottenham Hotspur who the paper claim are also in the hunt.

Interest arises in Anderson

Manchester United may finally be about to shift Anderson off their books, report The Mail. The once highly promising midfielder is out of favour and has been for the last one and a half seasons.

Brazilian side Internacional have opened talks over a transfer, which the paper write will be only for a small fee, with the player's agent in discussions with the club's president.
