QPR are reportedly in talks to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Bakary Sako.

According to French newspaper L'Equipe, QPR are in talks to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Bakary Sako - and they also say an agreement is close.

The R's have had a quieter month than many anticipated, with Harry Redknapp only bringing in West Ham United striker Mauro Zarate to try and boost his front line.

However, with it being Redknapp, expect some late transfer window shenanigans, given that we are just days away from the deadline and Redknapp is known to do his business late in the day.

After selling midfielder Jordon Mutch to Crystal Palace on Thursday, QPR are being linked with a move to sign Wolves star Sako.

The Mali international, 26, has hit 30 goals in 106 appearances for the Championship side, and is known to be a powerful winger with an eye for goal.

That could be just what QPR need, and L'Equipe suggest that the former Saint-Etienne wide man is in talks over a move to Loftus Road.

They also state that an agreement is close between the two sides, and with Sako's contract expiring at the end of this season, that could spell a bargain for Redknapp and co as they try to tempt Wolves into selling their star winger rather than lose him for nothing in the summer.
