Pochettino comments on whether Spurs will make additions this month

The Tottenham Hotspur boss was speaking at a pre-match press conference.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has refused to rule out incoming signings before the end of the January transfer window at his press conference today, according to talkSPORT.

Spurs are yet to sign any new players during the January transfer window and Pochettino's comments add further mystery to whether the north London side will make a move for anyone before the transfer deadline.

Although the Argentine boss did say he is happy with his current squad, he admitted that anything is possible when it comes to new signings.

"It is always difficult in the window," talkSPORT quote him as saying. "I am very happy with our squad but we are always open to improving.

"So far it is all rumours but you never know."

Spurs made a slow start under the former Southampton manager's guidance but the squad appear to have bought into his policy in recent weeks and bringing in too many faces could have a detrimental impact on the side.

However, with Spurs competing domestically and in Europe, they will be looking to add to the depth of their squad to ensure they have the cover to cope with their vast amount of fixtures.

Tottenham have booked themselves a place in the Capital One Cup final - where they will face Chelsea at Wembley - and travel to West Brom in the Premier League tomorrow afternoon.
