Great news for Liverpool fans! But will it last...?
Finally - the moment is here!
So many of Liverpool's struggles - obviously not all of them - could have been solved or at least boosted by the Reds superstar's return up front. Brendan Rodgers and co, however, have been forced to wait for some time as the 25-year-old slowly returned to fitness.
Now, Sturridge's comeback is imminent - and it is a timely one for Liverpool.
Rodgers' side are currently on an unbeaten run in the Premier League, one which technically includes the Capital One Cup semi-final against Chelsea, too, as their defeat only came after extra-time.
The Reds' biggest problem, however, has been their finishing in front of goal. Neither Philippe Coutinho nor Raheem Sterling have been anywhere near clinical enough in the final third of late, while the likes of Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini simply haven't cut it at Anfield (Borini has been the better of the three recently, though).
The sight of Sturridge in first-team training, then, will surely be one of the most pleasant of Liverpool supporters' season so far. And a picturesque sight it is, too, with the snow having pelted it down at Melwood...
All that is left is for the 25-year-old to slot back into the first team - and avoid injury for the rest of the campaign.
