Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with a move for Roma striker Mattia Destro in recent days. The Italian was reportedly set to become the subject of a bid from the North London club, with Romanian defender Vlad Chiriches moving the other way as part of any deal, according to talkSPORT.
However it would seem Tottenham are not going to get their man, as AC Milan are now widely believed to have beaten any other interested parties to the punch.
It had been reported in Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by Goal Italy, that Milan will pay a €700,000 loan fee to take him for the rest of the season before paying off the remaining €16 million of his buyout clause in three instalments.
The BBC report that deal has now been completed after he underwent a medical and the Italian international now seems to be an AC Milan player.
The 23-year-old has even posed in a Milan shirt and he certainly seemed happy about the move.
Tottenham currently have the likes of Harry Kane, Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado in their striking positions but only the former has managed to make an impact this season.
But if another striker is to come in, it is not going to be Destro.
