Scott Sinclair's comments to Aston Villa's official site suggest that he is already wanting the best for the club in the future.
Sinclair only arrived on a season-long-loan from Manchester City earlier today, but he has had time to show that he has been keeping up with all the goings-on at Villa Park.
The rapid winger believes that it is great for the future of the club that Fabian Delph has signed a fresh contract and it is a comment that proves he wants the best for his new team.
"It's great for the club that Fabian has signed his contract," Sinclair said in his first interview after arriving.
"I think he's made a good decision signing here because he's playing football every week and enjoying it at a great club."
Sinclair has struggled to reach his best ever since moving to City back in 2012, but he will be hoping that a move to Villa can get him back to his peak.
The England youth international is still only 25, so he has time on his side and a fresh start could be just what it takes to get him back on track.
On his day Sinclair has already proven to be a threat to defences across the top-tier, with his showings at former club Swansea City particularly notable.
However, all of Sinclair's recent loan moves have been unsuccessful and he will need to step-up his own efforts if he is to make a better time of it at Aston Villa.
