The former QPR midfielder has stated that the Scotsman is putting together an improved ethos and playing style at Real Sociedad.
The Glaswegian was sacked as manager of Manchester United manager after less than a year in charge, with the Old Trafford faithful losing confidence in Sir Alex Ferguson’s replacement.
However, Moyes has helped Sociedad move up the table in Spain and is clearly well-respected at Anoeta.
Granero stated that the Scotsman is helping to forge a more positive style of play and club ethos that the Basque side’s supporters will identify with in time.
"There are differences. Defence for me is fundamental because if you don't know how to defend it's impossible to attack," Granero is quoted as saying by El Diario Vasco.
"It's true that when results weren't going as we wanted we didn't have the confidence to play how we wanted to. Little by little we're constructing a playing style that the fans will enjoy."
Moyes was recently sent to the stands in a Copa del Rey clash with Villarreal after remonstrating with the referee.
Despite being eliminated from the cup competition, Sociedad are now 11th in the La Liga table after looking destined for a relegation battle before Moyes took over.
The former United boss led his side to a 1-0 home win over Barcelona at the turn of the year, and will be hoping for another shock this weekend as Sociedad take on reigning European champions Real Madrid.
