Tottenham Hotspur morning round-up: Pochettino on the pressure, Eriksen looks ahead

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has told talkSPORT he wasn’t worried about Sheffield United’s comeback in the League Cup semi-final last night.

The Blades were 2-1 ahead going into the closing stages, which would have sent the match into extra time if it wasn’t for Christian Eriksen’s free kick.

The boss says he was focused on finding a solution while the chaotic scenes were unfolding around him.

Eriksen has told the Daily Mirror that he’s really looking forward to the final at Wembley against Chelsea.

He reckons the Blues will be out for revenge after the way Spurs defeated Jose Mourinho’s side in the recent encounter between the teams at White Hart Lane.

He’s also suggested that the side need to stop conceding sloppy goals, which leave them with work to do.

Harry Kane told the Daily Mail he feels the result echoes the amount of character in the Tottenham team.

He’s also revealed his belief that there’s no advantage for Chelsea or Spurs heading into the final, with the side’s level in terms of meetings from earlier this season.
