According to the Daily Mail, Blackpool are interested in signing 20-year-old Potts on loan in an attempt to steady the ship after promotion-hunting Watford gave them a reality check at the weekend.
On Saturday, the Tangerines put themselves in a good position as a strong first-half saw them stun Watford on their own patch and go into the half-time break with a 2-0 lead. However, after the break, Blackpool looked a completely different outfit.
In what could prove to be one of the most stunning comebacks in English football this season, Watford ran riot as they put the ball in the net seven times in 34 minutes to eventually win the game 7-2.
After the match, there was little Lee Clark could say to explain his defence's capitulation and it looks as if he may have already looked at reinforcements as he tries to pull off the great escape.
As it stands, Blackpool sit 12 points away from safety and have conceded the most and scored the least in the whole division.
Although England youth international Potts could be a good addition and improve matters, it is unlikely to be enough to see Blackpool escape relegation to League One.
