Sevilla are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Etienne Capoue on loan.
According to L'Equipe, Sevilla have joined the race to sign Tottenham's French international midfielder Etienne Capoue.
The former Toulouse star, 26, started the season as a key part of Mauricio Pochettino's midfield at White Hart Lane, but has now slipped behind Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason in the pecking order.
A January exit has therefore been mooted, with Real Sociedad boss David Moyes reportedly interested in bringing Capoue to Spain, according to San Sebastian-based newspaper Noticias de Gipuzkoa.
Now though, one of their La Liga arrivals appear to have joined them in the race for his signature, with Sevilla reportedly interested in signing him.
L'Equipe suggest that Unai Emery's men are aiming to sign one of Capoue, Bordeaux's Gregory Sertic or PSG's Adrien Rabiot - who has recently been linked with a move to Tottenham.
What does this mean for Tottenham?
With interest seemingly building in Capoue, Spurs could release a name off the wage budget, enabling Pochettino to bring in another body.
Yet with Tottenham seemingly ending their interest in the aforementioned Rabiot, allowing Capoue to depart could leave Spurs short of bodies in midfield, particularly with Bentaleb still at the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria.
Should Capoue leave, it may mean Brazilian international Paulinho stays at the club, despite reported interest from Valencia and AC Milan.
