Report: Leeds United newbies Sol Bamba and Granddi Ngoyi to start v Huddersfield

The new signings from Palermo are set to make their debuts this weekend.

This weekend Leeds United take on Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town and go into the game full of confidence after a 1-0 win against AFC Bournemouth in midweek last week.

Since then Leeds have also been busy in the transfer market. They raided Italian side Palermo to bring in Granddi Ngoyi and former Leicester City defender Sol Bamba to Elland Road.

Both players have trained with the club this week and also had their squad numbers revealed earlier in the week.

Now it is being reported that both players are expected to make their debut this weekend.

Sky Sports News are reporting among their transfer centre that the newbies will start against The Terriers this weekend.

The report states:

"Both of Leeds United's new signings Granddi Ngoyi and Sol Bamba, are expected to start in their Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield on Saturday.

"Following their win over the impressive Bournemouth, Neil Redfearn is keen to carry the momentum into the next league game."

What is not clear is just who they would replace in the Leeds starting XI?

Bamba's inclusion would be self explanatory. With Giuseppe Bellusci suspended after seeing red against The Cherries the Ivorian should slot in to the centre-back position comfortably.

Ngoyi however would give Neil Redfearn much more of a headache.

His inclusion would mean one of Lewis Cook, Rodolph Austin or the in form Luke Murphy dropping out of the starting XI for this weekend's fixture.
