Newcastle United received a timely fitness boost with a key trio taking part in first-team training on Thursday afternoon.
The Magpies have struggled for form of late, with occasionally promising on-field spells not doing anything for the club in terms of results.
Despite that, caretaker boss John Carver has been appointed as head coach until the summer.
And the new Newcastle manager will be pleased to know he can soon call on the likes of Gabriel Obertan, Siem de Jong and Ryan Taylor.
The trio had previously been out with long-term injuries, with De Jong only recently returning to first-team training. The Dutchman has now been joined by Obertan and Taylor, who could be key in transforming Newcastle's fortunes.
Taylor came back from an extremely lengthy knee injury earlier this term but was forced to miss several more weeks after receiving a knock during a Premier League clash.
Newcastle fans will no doubt hope all three of their injury absentees can stay fit between now and the end of the campaign, although it is unclear how much they can play in the short term. Carver's Magpies travel to Hull City this Saturday afternoon for the Premier League's early kick-off.
