Manchester United morning round-up: Serie A giants linked with move for Javier Hernandez

A round up of news stories this morning related to Manchester United.

The Daily Star has reported that Lazio are interested in doing a deal to sign Javier Hernandez.

The Mexican striker has been playing on loan at Real Madrid, with the Serie A side reportedly interested in signing him permanently.

He struggled to force his way into Louis van Gaal’s thinking at the start of the season.

Former Manchester United defender Danny Simpson has told the Daily Mail he’s looking forward to going back to Old Trafford with Leicester City.

Simpson is hopeful that the Foxes can put in a good performance against his old club.

He’s also said it will be strange for him heading back with Sir Alex Ferguson not still the manager at the club.

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has played down the idea he could leave the Spanish giants for Manchester United, according to the Daily Express.

The Welshman has been heavily linked with a move to United after a brief stint at the Bernabeu but says he ‘loves’ his current club and isn’t looking to move away in the near future.
